Doll Karagouna

The Karagouna costume, was generally found in in the plain of Thessaly, Karditsa, Trikala, Kalambaka, Tyrnavos, Larissa, Farsala and Domokos.

It was composed of the shirt with the handcuffs, the shirt, the cervix, the shorts (Karditsa) or the chabussaia (Trikala) or the kavadi (Sofades – Palamas), the Kavadomanika (Karditsa and Trikala) the waistband or gold-embroidered waistband, the gkiournti (Karditsa and Trikala) or sigouni (Sofades – Palamas), the flokata (Karditsa and Trikala) or flokato (Sofades – Palamas), the tsirepia and the ribbons.
